The competitive race between Google and OpenAI in productive artificial intelligence is intensifying. A new statement from the CEO of Google DeepMind claims that their new AI model, Gemini, will revolutionize the field. Named Gemini, the tool aims to be “ultra-powerful” compared to ChatGPT.
Google Gemini vs ChatGPT
DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis spoke about Google’s new artificial intelligence, Gemini, which was developed using the decision-making skills of AlphaGo, a language model. Gemini aims to surpass OpenAI’s language model in productivity.
Gemini is still in development and is not expected to be released soon. However, its superior problem-solving and decision-making potential can have significant impacts on the competitive race in productive AI. Hassabis fueled the competition by stating, “We also have some very interesting innovations in the pipeline.”
Google recently shared its advancements in language with Bard and PaLM 2 during the I/O 2023 event. While these innovations are noteworthy, it can be said that ChatGPT-4 has had a greater impact in the market.
Google aims to break this perception with the new Gemini. AlphaGo, developed by DeepMind, achieved a groundbreaking milestone in 2016 by defeating a human in the Go game. The capabilities of AlphaGo will be utilized in Gemini.
